I really like the longing in the tone. And love the structures, and what it is said with the punctuation. Those pauses make me read the poem in such an specific way…
It is so true that listening to old songs is such a comforting feeling from the past. It is as though part of you too is within the words as you hear them again and your mind goes back and you are young again. Beautifully written Sanaa.
This has such a great structure. The way the lines are trying to come together… this, to me, relates so nicely to your theme here. Coming together, or trying to.
I detect regret in this poem ….of a broken romance or a relationship that never began. Clever use of broken lines that never merge and good use of rhyme.
Oh, yes…songs and music can always take you back to memorable days. Wonderful way to arrange the poem, too! Thoughts of the past can certainly come to you in a flash, like you say, a meteor zinging right to the heart! <3
