Apollo’s Scuffle for Hyacinth

Spike of fragrant hyacinths,
compelling so much so that crawlers, clouds above surrender—
wanton,
glistening in the sun serve to be the reason for a feud
between Zephyrus and I,
Apollo, one of the twelve Olympians—
such audacity, such pomp!
Is that some way for a flower to behave?
In the end, I use your petals for medicinal purposes.
Touché!
